Northeastern Services is a facility that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing residential care as well as day services at their facility.

THE SITUATION:

Northeastern Services wanted a pallet rack in order to store smaller things that were in bulk such as food, clothing, pillows, blankets, etc.

THE SOLUTION:

A pallet rack helped Northeastern services by providing ultimate storage for bulk products. The mesh wiring that was added to the pallet rack allowed them to store bulk items.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

A pallet rack is a large unit that stores products on a pallet or in large quantities. The racks are stacked over each other and are held together by a tall Teardrop style upright frame. The frame is placed on each corner and it holds the beams up. The beams work like shelves; they are used to hold the product. The beams are accessible from the front and the back and require a forklift to move the products. The uprights have horizontal and diagonal metal bars that attach and create ultimate support. 

Pallet racks columns for NAWL are 3” x 3” and have three different types of beams; Light Duty, Step, and Nosed. The lengths of the beams vary from 96”, 108”, 120”, and 144”. The levels/beams can be adjusted about every inch to fit the size of your product. The rated capacity ranges anywhere from 3973, 4600, 5000, 5710, 6300 and more. Pallet racks have many accessories that can be purchased. NAWL offers Row Spacers which are bolted to the uprights and offer additional support and spacing. Column protectors and are used to prevent any damage from happening to the upright frames. Pallet supports are also available and help prevent pallets from falling through the racks. Wire mesh and particle board decking can also be added to the pallet racks to store smaller quantities of products.
