South Jordan Police designed and constructed a new facility in 2003. One key consideration in design was the evidence storage area. With the complexity of cases today as much evidence as possible must be secured. With emerging technologies the evidence must also be stored for a longer period of time that in the past. South Jordan Police used high-density moveable shelving from salt city records to maximize the storage in their new evidence room. High-density moveable Space Saving Shelving style shelving by Richard Wilcox is the most space efficient solution available today. As compared to traditional shelving systems it typical allows two (2) to three (3) times the storage.
