In 2002 South Salt Lake Police designed and constructed a new facility. One of the key considerations was the evidence storage area. With the complexity of cases today as much evidence as possible must be secured. With emerging technologies the evidence must also be stored for a longer period of time than in the past. South Salt Lake Police used high-density moveable shelving from NationWideShelving.com to maximize the storage in their new evidence room. This type of shelving is the most space efficient solution available today. As compared to traditional shelving systems it typical allows two (2) to three (3) times the storage.
