Flexible Machine Guarding

The Smart Fix System has threated brackets which can easily be combined with a Rapid Fix System.

The Rapid Fix and Smart Fix was inspired by the mesh panels. A door can be added to an existing mesh panel by installing hinges and a lock. When a machine needs to be relocated, the guarding system can easily transport with it.

Machine Guarding for Production Environment

Troax offers adaptive protective panels for factories. The posts have different component options to fit any kind of metal mesh, sheeting or polycarbonate panels. You can create the perfect arrangement for any cage to fit in many kinds of areas. Per the Machinery Directive, the system is required to disassemble without damaging it.

These panels are 7' 2.6" and 4' 7.1" with a 5.9" floor gap for easy cleaning access. The panels are available in 7 different widths, from 7.9" up to 4' 11.1". Both can be customized to any dimension. Troax keeps it in stock for immediate delivery for your convenience.

Strong Fix

For difficult to fit areas and unprotected environments, the Strong Fix panels are recommended. The Strong Fix panels have sturdy components and heavy duty posts of 3.1" x 3.1", these panels can withstand strong impacts.  The ST30 mesh panels have been proven to endure impacts up to 1,475 foot-pound force. These cages can be used to protect machines and robots. These panels meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC code.

Rapid Fix

When completing machine maintenance, Rapid Fix advanced method uses easy to remove supports letting these panels detach very easily. This fix will grant convenient entrance to the device cage for faster maintenance. The structure mesh panels have been proven to endure impacts up to 737.6 foot-pound force. These panels are compatible with the Smart Fix product system. It can be used for device cells.  These panels meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC code.

Smart Fix

The Smart Fix is made of threated brackets and mesh panels which can withstand impacts up to 1,180 foot-pound force. This fix is mainly used for uneven floors because in can be easily adjusted. It is also easy to assemble. The Troax machine guarding Smart Fix system is compatible with other Troax systems. Customers commonly use this product for automated production. Combi Fix

The Combi Fix system has lower and threaded brackets. The system uses a combination of Troax’s Rapid Fix and Smart Fix creating a strong but also a flexible system that is easy to take apart for machine maintenance. These adaptable panels adjust to different heights and slopped floors. These panels meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC code.

Stainless Steel

The High Line steel machine guard is designed for areas with high security and hygienic standards. These open and fully-welded horizontal panels’ surfaces are made for easy cleaning, even when placed directly on the floor. Stainless Steel commonly used for pharmaceutical and food applications. The Machine Guarding Components

Troax panels and posts are made of high quality steel, a robot produces it which ensures a dependable high quality. Panels, posts and their bracket system has been tested to withstand impacts from 228 foot-pound force up to 1,475 foot-pound force.

Mesh Panels

The machine guarding frames com in two widths, ST20: 0.75" x 0.75" and ST30: 1.1"x 0.78". They have the classic wire mesh look and size of 0.78" x 3.9".

Polycarbonate Panels

If an overview of the production line is desired the Transparent ST PC polycarbonate panel is recommended. It will defend against debris and waste from harming employees and machines.

Sheet Metal Panels

Customer who are welding in their warehouse or prefer solid panels should get the URSP sheet metal panels.

Posts

2.4" x 1.6" is the standard size post and it comes in three heights: 4' 7.1", 7' 2.6" and 9' 10". The base is welded to reinforce its construction. 3.1" x 3.1" post is the larger size and should be used in areas where there is a greater risk of collision or impact with objects and machines.

Customization

Desired dimensions are possible because of the customization the panels and post allow. Panels can be order in the desired size. Although, the custom kits make it possible to modify it to perfectly fit the space. Post can also be made to order. Troax keeps the standard size panels and posts in stock for quick delivery. (The standard color is gray)

Surface Treatment

Gray or Black powder coated paint is the standard color on the panels. A few colors Troax offers for the posts are black, yellow, or gray powder paint. Although, different colors are available but may take 1-2 weeks to produce. Mesh panels and posts suitable for humid and wet environments are stocked.

Doors and Locks for Existing Security Requirements

The Troax doors are available in hinged, sliding, telescopic and linear doors. The standard widths start from 2' 3.5" up to 13' 1.5" and heights up to 13' 5.4". The doors are considered to be part of the Troax modular system. The system is made up of custom strength and several materials which are metal mesh, sheet metal or polycarbonate.

The doors are delivered in two options: assembled with panels, posts, and locks assembled at the factory or as unassembled panels, posts, and brackets which are very easy to assemble. Troax keeps the door solutions parts in stock. Each door and lock combinations include assembly instructions.

Hinged Doors

Mesh, polycarbonate or sheet metal panels make up the hinged doors. The panel’s widths start from 2' 3.5" up to 4' 11.1" in for single hinged doors and 4' 7.1" to 9' 10.1' for double hinged doors. Heights range from 4' 1.2" to 13' 5.4".

Sliding Doors

The aluminum track keeps the panels in place. The sliding doors come in single our double tracks. Mesh, polycarbonate or sheet metal panels make up the sliding doors. The panel’s widths start from 2' 3.6" up to 4' 11.1" for single hinged doors and 4' 7.1" to 9' 10.1" for double hinged doors. Heights range from 4' 1.2" to 13' 5.4".

Telescopic Sliding Doors

Telescopic sliding doors are attached to a telescopic track at the top and bottom. It is constructed of mesh or polycarbonate panels. The opening is up to 9' 10.1". The telescopic track gives a stable sliding door with access to both above and sides of the panel.

Linear Sliding Doors

The door leaf is on roller bearings at the bottom and top. This creates a passage access above and to the side of the panel. Mesh panels make up this linear sliding door. The widths are up to 13' 1".

Automatic Sliding Doors

One of the options available is a sliding door that is automatic. It has motor from Beason/ASSA ABLOY. It has its own posts and panels. The automatic sliding door widths are up to 19' 8". It is available in single or double doors. The motor that moves the door meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive. There is an option to have the door ordered with a Performance Level E safety switch.

Automatic Quick Roll Doors

RapidProtect 300 makes the quick roll doors from Albany/ASSA ABLOY. It is a type tested machine guarding door that is very durable. The door leaf offers extra protection and it meets the guidelines for machine security. The key feature of this door is that is quickly opens and closes. The performance Level E safety switch is included.

Locks

There are several locks available and it depend on what type of security is desired. A few examples are: euro cylinder locks and simple magnet locks. All of the locks can be upgraded with one or more electronic switches. The following switches are kept in stock: Schmersal, Jakob.ABB, Euchner, GuardMaster Rockwell, and Telemecanique. Although, the following switches can be provided: Sick, Fortess, Pizzato, Pilz, and other manufactures.

Tested Quality Improves Safety

Troax machine guarding system was designed to offer safety for people and equipment to make our customers feel safe in their space. Troax has tested their system to make certain their products are high quality and safety. All of the posts and panels have brand the “Quality Assured” label.

Troax designed their machine guarding system to be in accordance with the following requirements: the American ANSI/RIA standards, the Canadian CSA Standards, and the European Machinery Directive 2006/24/EC. Quality Testing

Troax is always working to improve their products and system solutions. The panels, posts and brackets are tested and meet the impacts required in for the standard ISO 14120. The tests are accomplished by dropping weights on to the system. The weight resistance is equivalent to forces of 227.9 foot-pound force and up to 1,475.1 foot-pound force. For instance, an impact of 1,180.1 foot-pound force is equal to 220.5 lbs striking the system at 12.4 mph.
