Pump manufacturer uses Hanel storage systems for materials supply ton 2-floor production facility
Recently the sales organization Germany clinched the sale of 2 Multi-Space 1300-835 systems and 4 Lean-Lifts 840-1270 to the company Hugo Vogelsang Maschinenbau GmbH in Essen/Oldenburg.
The company was founded in 1929 and began with the production of tank wagons for use in the agricultural sector. Over the decades, and with the rotary lobe pump as its core product, Vogelsang developed steadily from a craftsman's business into an internationally active mechanical engineering enterprise.
In the last few years the positive development of the company has resulted in the need to heavily expand production in North Germany's Essen/Oldenburg. Hänel had already been in contact with the company since 2005. Although our storage systems had piqued their interest in the initial stages of expansion, the upgrading of the production facilities was their primary concern due to the high demand.
However, when the building of another 2-story production hall started in 2012, the subject of intralogistics and warehouse management took on high priority. One of the concerns was to guarantee the supply of materials to the production facilities located on 2 floors. The Lean-Lifts and the two Multi- Space systems will be used to transpor t materials to the two levels. The Lean-Lifts will store pump components on pallets, and the Multi-Space will mainly house small parts.
The decisive factor that clinched the contract for Hänel was the 1000 kg pallet version of the Lean-Lift which our competitors were unable to offer. Keeping in constant touch with the company over several years was also an instrumental factor. |
