THE CLIENT: THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH The University of Utah is one of the best in the nation at creating startup companies based on student and faculty research. This is indicative of the innovative and industrious thinking found across campus and in classrooms. The University of Utah Library needed over 700 sections of Spacesaver Library shelving to be dismantled, removed and relocated. The project was awarded to NationWide Shelving. The model was an Eclipse Electric High Density Mobile System with Spacesaver Canteliever Library Shelving mounted on the carriage. The system was equipped with an asile entry photo eye safety system. With 12 shelves per section, it equates to approxiamely 25,200 feet of shelf space! Two semi trucks full! And the University needed it moved fast! It was dismantled, packaged, and removed extremely quickly with precision. THE SOLUTION: A six man crew, with razor sharp planning and execution, completed the project in 2 weeks. As a final touch, the existing flooring was removed at no charge as a courtesy to the university.
