HappiJac needed a deck for their pallet racks so they can store many RV products of various sizes. They wanted their decking to have a high weight capacity and something that is easy to install and maintain.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

Wire Decking is something that can be added to any industrial shelving unit. They are used on the levels to provide a deck for items to be stored. Using wire decking can increase weight capacity. Wire decking also reduces dirt build up and increases air circulation. All wire decking have steel support channels welded to the bottom of the decks for weight capacity. Wire decking can be customized to fit your needs. 

Wire Decking has 4 different configurations for different uses: standard step, inverted flange, flush flat, and flush waterfall. Standard step goes over the front and back beams of the shelving unit. Inverted flange goes on the same at standard step but the steel support channels have a flange that is placed on the beams for added support. Flush flat lays on the inside of the beams and don’t show. Flush waterfall is also on the inside but the ends of the deck’s wires are turned down and help hold the deck on. 

Wire decking is fully customizable and can be made to fit almost any shelving unit. Some sizes available include 24” x 46”, 36” x 46”, 42” x 46”, 44” x 52”, and 48” x 52”. Grid patterns most decks use are 2” x 4”, 2.5” x 4” and 2.5” x 4.5”. Tighter grid patterns (1” x 4” and 1” x 6”) for hand stack applications are available as well. The support channels welded onto the decking determine the weight capacity. 3 support channels can be used to get a capacity of 2,500 lbs. The more support channels used, the higher the weight capacity. There are also different decks for different purposes. Super light duty decks are for low capacities, and super heavy decks are for capacities over 2,500 lbs. Outdoor deck is hot-dip galvanized or zinc-plated for weather resistance. Anchored decks are also available. These decks can be secured to the beam to prevent deck movement and stop beam separation. All decks use 5 gauge wire, have a powder coat finish, and meet or exceed the ANSI MH-26.2 guidelines.
